Think about it. To achieve tha target price (100$ one laptop) they have to sell 3 milion units. To do this they've come up with an initiative, buy a laptop at 399$ and donate a second one with no extra charge. Or simply, you don't need a laptop, so donate 200$ and a kid will get a laptop. True devloping countries need food, health system, etc. but they do need access to knowledge or else they will never be self-suficient. Think about it (and if you are from Europe it comes with a 40% discount, thanks exchange rate)
